A definite NO!!

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
Decided to try last night, since it has changed from an incredibly expensive fish restaurant to a normal priced mixed menu.
The setting is very nice, the staff pleasant. Those are the good points!
4 of us. Starters - 2 soup - good, 1 appolon salad (haloumi) OK, 1 crispy mushrooms - how did they cook and crisp mushrooms while maintaining cool hard cheeses in the centre?? Mains 2 chicken curry - OK, 1 roasted chicken- dry and just about edible, 1 mixed grill - all identified by shape as the colour was uniformly black, totally dry and inedible but chips were good, vegetables hot, but hard. All the food had the hallmarks of having been cooked days (or weeks) ago and microwaved. Price including a bottle of wine, one beer and a bottle of water €100, not a fortune, but rather have paid twice as much for a good edible meal, which this definitely was not.

good food, great service

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
Just been to this restaurant for the third time in six weeks, so yes it is excellent. Between 6 of us, we have tried the pate, soup, haloumi, fish meze, dolmades, steaks, suckling pig, and several cypriot dishes (stifado etc) All have been excellent. Service is efficient and friendly.
As it has been quite busy each time, the atmosphere has been really pleasant.
Prices are much better than we expected for a tourist area venue, so all in all, we would all definitely recommend giving it a try.

Great reviews??

0 of 1 people found the following review helpful
Four of us went last night, persuaded by me, having read great reviews. Now I am not flavour of the month for my choice. The food was bland and tasteless, and the staff/owners were more interested in the football on T.V. than their customers. We waited 30 minutes for the starters (2 pate, 1 soup and 1 fishcake) we all agreed it was just O.K. Then one hour from the clearing of starters to the main course, and it really was not worth waiting for - 3 poached cod and 1 fish and chips. Bland poached fish with a flavourless sauce. No pudding, we could not imagine the wait.
2 courses and 2 hours 45 mins later, we left wondering did we really go to the same restaurant as the other reviewers!!??

Well worth a visit!

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
Finally tried this restaurant last night, booked a couple of hours before going, just as well because it soon filled up. The welcome was warm, we sat outside where the atmosphere was busy and friendly. The staff were absolutely brilliant, very little waiting time on such a busy evening.

Now, the food, just two of us. Salmon sushi, tzatziki and scampi for starters, seafood platter for 2 for mains, 3 beers, 1 water and coffee. Cannot comment on puddings because the seafood platter was huge and left no room. All was excellent, and at 50euro in total, real value for money.

Will certainly go back, taking friends next time, with no worries about recommending to them or anyone else.

Definitely worth a visit

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
I do not know much about Indian food, but visiting family love it, so following other good reviews we tried the Sunday buffet. 4 adults 2 teenagers and a young child.
The dining area was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive but not pushy, the food was excellent in both taste and variety (judged by the connoisseurs among us)and the nice surprise was that the bill was extremely reasonable.
Everyone had a great evening and would definitely return.

Not as impressive as we expected

0 of 2 people found the following review helpful
After the previous reviews, we had to give it a try. In fairness most reviews were for lunch, for which the menu looked excellent.
Dinner was a bit of a disappointment. Starters were quite nice, all priced between €5 and €7.50. Main courses lacked vegetables. There were six of us, four had sole which was served with new potatos and a leaf side salad, opinion mixed from good to insufficient to dry. I had surf and turf, which was supposed to be sirloin, but a problem meant that they had to use rib eye (I was informed) The steak was just OK as were the 3 spiced prawns and the bowl of chips no vegetables or salad. At €16.95 I thought that the content was lacking. The last member of our group had lamb, which was excellent but again no vegetables offered.
Local wine was €14.95 per bottle and the choice was red, white or rose. all other wines were €20 and over.
Two of the group had dessert, which they said was excellent.
The service, which at first seemed excellent soon began to feel a bit pushy as we were constantly asked 'another bottle of wine, coffee?'
The bill including drinks was €225, not a bad meal, but not the best value either.
Best Point ? gardens
Worst Point ? lack of vegetables

Frequent visitor

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Quite surprised by other reviews, this is one of our favourites. The atmosphere is great, especially outside in summer, very greek. The food is consistently good, service always excellent. Maybe not fine dining, but you are not paying fine dining prices, but always fresh and well cooked.
Absolutely essential to book in summer, we have turned up 4 times without a booking but only got in once of those. Now we always book.
That volume of customers cannot be wrong, certainly worth a try if you are looking for 'real Cyprus village dining'

First tried this restaurant last summer, took visitors in Autumn and was invited by friends last week. Great food, excellent service, good value, nice drive, what more could you want?
Family due here in 2 weeks and this restaurant is definitely on the list.

Nice venue, excellent food

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
Salad bar was amazing, included seafood, smoked salmon, sushi and was very nicely presented. Main course, aged sirloin on the stone grill so it was easy to cook it exactly to your liking. Vegetables fresh and perfectly cooked. Not a dessert fan, but the rest of the party thoroughly enjoyed theirs, sorry I do not know what they had.

We sat in the outside area which was lovely but a little too subtly lit as it was too dark to read the menu, fortunately the very attentive waiter swivelled a garden light around and we managed to make our selections.

Total cost for four, including 2 bottles of wine was £110, not the cheapest but we had a lovely evening and will definitely be going again.

Well worth a visit

0 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Went last night. Food was excellent, party of four, we had duck l'orange, lamb, chicken, and stuffed peppers. All dishes well cooked and well presented. Service was superb and ambiance was just what we hoped for. Starters, main courses, desserts, coffee, wine, beers, soft drinks and several litres of water (v.warm evening)The bill for 4 was £63. Excellent value for a very pleasant evening - will be going back.

Not one to queue for

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Judging by the queues, we were expecting Fat Mamas to be fantastic.

The food was just OK but vast quantities, huge amounts were being left on plates. So busy that there was quite a wait to be served. Lots of entertainment by waiters and certainly has a place in the tourist sector, will suit children/teens, but not one for us.

Hit and Miss

0 of 3 people found the following review helpful
Had we reviewed Harmony after our first visit, we would have said that it had been a really enjoyable experience, good food, service etc. In fact it was good enough to return, and we did 2 weeks later.

Unfortunately the second time, although the service was acceptable, the food was less than palatable. It left us wondering...which was typical....were we incredibly lucky the first time, or did they have a rare 'off' night???!!

Best Chinese restaurant in Paphos

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful
We asked a chinese girl who had spent 3 months in Paphos which was the most authentic restaurant, and on her recommendation went to Chloes 2. Food superb, ambiance excellent, staff totally charming and attentive. Will definitely visit again.

A Must

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
One of our favourite restaurants, have been several times. Sorry, I can only comment on the Kerry Special steak which is so wonderful that I cannot persuade myself to order anything else. However, friends who have joined us have had fish, chicken, pork and plain steaks, and everyone has always finished with the comment 'fabulous meal' Kerry is welcoming and his plentiful staff are friendly and efficient. The Flambe dishes are extremely popular so you do have to wait when they are busy, which is practically all the time, but the best is always worth waiting for.
