As it was sunday and they had far too many adventurous things on the board for any pub to be able to produce to any decent standard, we went for the roast beef. My starter was allegedly pate but it had the texture, and probably taste, although I am surmising here, of my dog's meat flavoured toothpaste. My companion's starter was prawn cocktail. most of the prawns were still frozen and all were either woolly or tough.
The roast potatoes were the aunt bessies (or maybe Iceland) and we could not cut through the thick slices of meat. The only half decent thing was the gravy, which from the "Maggi" gravy container given to me to take the leftovers away for the dog, confirmed was NOT homemade.
The vegetables were barely cooked- you couldn't even cut into the cauli or broccolli. With this kind of poor quality, one would at least expect a budget price, but there is no way they can justify their prices.
Vastly disappointing- we only ended up there as Tweedys next door was shut, but we will never be going back I can assure!!!

I am amazed by others' reviews of this place. Cyprus is known for being poor on authentic, good Chinese food (and I have lived all over the Island) but this place really has the edge on inauthenticity and quality. "Sizzling Beef with ginger and spring onion" was basically beef, bisto gravy and some sliced spring onion. I have made more Chinese tasting food myself. And BASMATI rice??? LMAO Since when has THAT been Chinese? Spring rolls were OK but they were processed frozen ones so the takeaway can hardly take the credit. Oh and someone ought to advise them that sweet and sour sauce is actually supposed to taste SOUR as well as sweet. Hence the name.
It is cheaper than other places but I would rather pay a bit extra and get something that actually tastes vaguely Chinese...
