WOW! Will definitely be going back

Wow, went here for dinner last night and my oh my was it good. I started with the prawns in white wine sauce and my husband had the porcini soup. Both were fantastic. For a main I had the Saltembaco alla romano(?) and my husband had the linguini vongole. Again, both were fantastic. For dessert I had the chocolate and white chocolate mousse, can't think of the name on the menu, and he had the tiramisu. Again fantastic. We walked out of there so full. The meal was great. We will definitely be going back here again.

lovely food but pricey

My partner and I ate here on a Friday night and didn't realise that it had only reopened that night for the season. We were the first ones there and there were only 2 other couples when we left so there was not much atmosphere.
However, I cannot fault the staff. they were very professional but friendly and very attentive without being over bearing.
The food was extremely good - I had mussels in white wine (mussels were a little small however) and penne amatriciana. My partner had spaghetti with ragu and veal. the Cypriot wine we had to go with it was €16 a bottle and was excellent. The meal came to €60 in total.
The only problem I had is that I was very ill that might when I went to bed and I suspected that it was the mussels as I had shared my sandwich at lunch with my partner and he was fine.
I would probably recommend it as a special occasion venue but to be honest I have had pasta just as good for a lot less. I think it is a little overpriced and for that reason I probably won't be going back.

Great Fun - Do Not Miss Out!

This place seems to get better. We go every time and this time failed to book and only just managed to get a seat on a busy evening. The guys in there manage all the tables really well, always seem to recognise previous cuistomers and have a great rapport with everyone. It's almost worth going in to watch them operate! Food is great, still the best risotto in town and deserves to be a popualr as it is. Getting a bit pricey but better value than somewhere like Grazie and full of atmosphere.

Cavallini
|

We have been going to Cavallini regularly, for 16 years now. This restaurant has been consistently good for 16 years, not once had the quality been compromised. The food is always fantastic, the menu is excellent, great service- very attentive without being overpowering. I also think it's great value for money. Great for romantic dinners, dinners with friends family occasions.

Fantastic

After reading previous reviews thought we would try this place and i am so glad we did.
Greeted with smiling faces by the waiters and waitresses relaxed us for the meal ahead which i have to say was fantastic, the pasta is homemade daily which makes a change from the "packet pasta" i have tasted in other places around Paphos.
Would highly recommend the Garlic and Chilli King Prawns as a starter al though my partner was most impressed with the Bruschetta.
Any of the pasta dishes would be a fine choice for a main course, although the steaks looked great as well ( but this is an italian, so when in Rome...)
The Tiramasu was the best i have ever tasted.
The price masy be higher than some lesser restaurants but is well worth the money.
If you like Italian go here and pay the extra, you will not be disappointed.

One of the very best in Paphos

I somehow overlooked reveiwing Cavillini's. I have been there on three occasions and the food and service are all absolutely top class. It's a bit more expensive than most other restaurants, but definitely worth the difference. Everyone who we know that has been there all rate it very highly. If you are going out for one extra special meal during your holiday, this is an excellent choice.

Tried the restaurant after reading reviews and was not disappointed, such that we visited again later in the week. The staff lived up to their "friendly and welcoming" tag, if only all restaurants had similar people. The food was extremely well presented and of excelent quality. Our two starters, mains, sweets, coffee, water and bottle of local wine cost about 80 Euro. Compared to other venues that may be cheaper this was excellent value.

Haven't been to Cavallini for a few years, mainly because it's so popular you have to book well in advance and we only usually decide where to go on the day we are going. Well we weren't disappointed it was just as good as we remembered, and at our age that's a bonus. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the service had just the right balance of attentiveness but not overbearing. As for the food it was well prepared and well presented. We had two starters two main courses one dessert which we shared a decent bottle of Italian red and two G & T's for 95 Euro's. Earlier reviews seem to comment on it being a bit pricey, but for the service and quality of the food we think it's not too bad.

Fantastic food!. We have dined here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Its more expensive than alot of places, but really well worth it for a fine dining experience. pasta cooked to perfection and plenty of it. Lovely service and head waiter remembers those who have been before which I think is a lovely touch.

Cavellini

Very nice bit quite pricey. Another place where it's best to book in advance, good service and a good menu. Rissotto was very nice. Good atmosphere but the tables (outside) are pretty squashed togather which didn't affect us but you could see a few people getting a bit irritated.

Very good Italien

Actually spelled 'Cavellini'. A very good Italien restaurant near the Amathus hotel at the far end of Kato Pafos. Excellent food and ambiance (loved the Italien music) although a bit pricey.
