Best kept secret in Tsada
|

Aristo's is one of Paphos's best kept secrets. The restaurant is in the village square in Tsada and not difficult to find, just follow the signs for Tsada. The restaurant is clean but not overly fussy and is run by Aristo and his wife (the cook).
Although the menu is not as extensive as downtown Paphos, the quality makes up for this. You can choose from local Cypriot dishes, stifado, kleftiko or there are a number of dishes which are char-grilled and a range of different steaks and sauces.
If that isn't enough to tempt you, you can also get basic omelette...fresh eggs from chickens that day! And if you are really hungry they serve a wopping 22 course meze...and I've seen it with my own eyes!!
As for drinks....£5 for a bottle of wine, £1 for large KEO and you must try a taste of the village brewed firewater Zivania...phewwww!
Last time we were there the local church music group (24) were having a meze and brought along their instruments and we had a wonderful time singing along and dancing..proper Cypriot style...not rehearsed at all...it was wonderful
Price is very reasonable too - £6.50 for steak etc, £7.00 for fresh fish of the day or if you want something that is not on the menu, just give Aristo 24hrs notice and he will do his best to get you exactly what you....true service
