We have never stayed at the Tasmaria but have eaten in Island Blue on many occasions over the last 3 years - sometimed for a late breakfast, once for Sunday lunch and mostly in the evenings. We have always had good food and service. When we went last month, I had to ask for my food to be prepared without sauces and dressings for health reasons and staff were happy to cope with these slight changes to the menu. Staff were very concerned that the food would be less enjoyable that way but I convinced them that it would be fine - and it was! Portions were good and represented good value for money for those with hearty appetites.
Thanks to waiters and kitchen staff for making eating on a special diet so easy and enjoyable.
We will be back on our next visit in August.

Have stayed at the Tasmaria each year for the past eleven and have often dined at the Island Blue with great service from all the staff and excellent food. will be there again this god willing.

As we were staying at the Tasmaria it made sense to fall off of the sun bed and into the restaurant at the front of the apartments. We were so disappointed. A toasted sandwich was just that - no side salad or chips and the burger was half raw and never got touched. The service wasn't good either, I think we inconvenienced the waiter by coming in and there wasn't an atmosphere at all. We did hear some reports around the apartments that the meals during the evening were really good. The guests at Tasmaria receive a 10% discount in the evening and have to present a voucher, maybe this made the waiter pull his finger out - who knows. I loved the Tasmaria but I wouldn't go back to their restaurant if you paid me! Sorry
