We have been visiting the Adelida for the past few years ...found the food was good ..price was good and is worth a visit for people that want good food at a good price that does not rip you off....will be back again this year for a few meals cannot wait.

My partner & i were attracted to the Adelaida Nov 2008 & dined there 8 of the 14 nights we were in Paphos. We arrived in Paphos this Nov arrived at restaurant 10 PM expecting a closed kitchen . We were welcomed as usual & left fed & happy. Dined there most of our holiday & found Laura ,Husband/chef & the two very hard working waitresses very friendly & efficient food & wine excellent

Good Value meal at Adelaida

Not dined here for a couple of years as we live on the other side of town.
Booked an early evening table for four, the restaurant being about three quarter full when we left about 9pm.
First impressions were that little had changed since we were here last
including the chairs which by now, despite cushions have sadly sagged.
We all chose from the 14E set menu which included a bottle of wine for two. (The choice of food and wine in the set menu was extensive)
The service was prompt and attentive throughout and included a 'drink on the house' before we left.
The quality, quantity & presentation of the meals was very good (although the chips looked and tasted like roast potatoes !) our main courses being t-bone steak, sea bream, beef stroganoff (perhaps too much chilli) & pork schnitzel.
Afterwards relaxed at 'Evis's' new rooftop bar Everest for a nightcap.

3 course set menu with free bottle of wine for 2 persons for less than 30 euros, you can't go wrong, or can you?
Me and the missus were quickly seated and our drinks order taken, which was 2 small bottles of beer that they had on offer at 1.50 euros each, excellent value so I had another 2 while waiting for food.
Our order was taken and we asked for a bottle of medium sweet white to go with it.There were only two staff waiting on and the restaurant was about 3/4 full so we knew we might be waiting a little.The waiter was running around like a blue ar**ed fly trying to keep everyone happy while the woman owner helped him out by pouring someone elses wine into my glass, when I pointed out her mistake she remonstrated with the waiter for not telling her.
Eventually after eating the complimentary bread and sitting for 45 mins our starters arrived, 2 Garlic Mushrooms, nothing special but edible.
Waited 30 mins and our mains arrived, the missus had King Prawns which she said were excellent and I agree because my greed forced me to try one.Her meal came with a jacket potato and cabbage and sweetcorn with rice and peas.I had the Plank steak and was a little disappointed with my 2 small burger sized pieces of steak, they tasted nice enough but were puny.My steaks were surrounded by mashed potato which was nice but again lacking in quantity.If I had known the Bernaise source was going to as nasty as it was I would have told them to hold it rather than me scraping it off my steak.I was expecting other vegetables but none arrived, I was about to question this until I noticed someone else with the same meagre portion as me.Anyhoo, I ate it in about 5 minutes taking my time and settled down to watch the missus eat hers and other diners either eating their meals or repeatedly looking at their wrist watches and looking increasingly frustrated and fidgety.
We finished our meals and the owner came over, asked if everything was ok as she cleared the table, we said yes, "Would you like to have 5 mins before desert" She asked.Yes please said I, big bloody mistake, I eventually caught the waiters eye and ordered ice cream for 2 we then waited again until it arrived.Having finished I asked for the bill, 10 minutes later I asked for the bill, 10 minutes later he brought complimentary drinks, 20 minutes later our bill arrived.
We spent almost 3 hours in the Adelaida, I almost died of old age.
They need more staff or it could be that they are trying to look busy to the passersby by slowing down the service?
Clean enough, friendly enough, excellent value for money but please, please, please learn to get a move on.
The exact opposite to the Imperial where we were in and out in around 50 minutes.Hahahahahahahaha...

Good Set Menu

We came here last week after hearing some positive reviews on the website and we have to agree it was overall good.
We both chose from the set menu which at E14.50 for 3 courses and a bottle of wine for 2 was good value. The food was average and portions were huge but the service really sold it to us. All staff were very friendly and attentive which made our dining experience more enjoyable.
I would go back and reccommend for those on a budget.

Go here if you like bland food

You get a large portion of food, but it is completely tasteless. The restuarant was full of expats who clearly miss the bland food of home. Traditional Cypriot taverns are much better. We have an apartment in Cyprus and have probably eaten in 70% of all the restuarants in Kato Paphos. This was one of my worst experiences. We were coaught out with the fact the place was quite busy and mistakingly thought the food might be good.

waiters and waitress very nice and polite ,owner quite rude, ill mannered very unlikely to visit again.even though the food is good .we have holidays in paphos many times and over the years have eaten here at lunch and dinner also eaten at many other paphos restaurants.

Great set menu. Fantastic food. Great service. It does get very busy, and we were not surprised, so do book. We only just got a table. Very glad that we did though. If you are on a budget, this is one of the best set menu's. It even includes a bottle of wine between 2. What more could you want.

Decent food at very reasonable prices. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Cyprus prices have gone up with the introduction of the Euro, but this restaurant is especially good if you are on a budget. The set menu is very good value and the food wholesome.

Ate here last night and found the service excellent.
We both had the set menu, starting with garlic mushrooms, pitta bread and various dips which were fabulous.
After reading previous reviews we both opted for the plank steak with mashed potatoes which was extremely tasty.
As we were not drinking alcohol because we had the car they let us take the bottle of wine away with us which was a nice touch.
will certainly visit again.

I had garlic mushroooms, steak diana and ice cream only €17
it was a set menu but it was very very good! the service was great too!
i recomend it to everyone and for locals too.

A great place to go if you want good food on a budget!. Very good choice of items on set menu and a free bottle of wine per couple. Staff are very friendly and owner and hubby/chef are lovely!. Often go here with a group as its such good value, plenty of choice and they are accommodating. All in all an excellent place for a budget meal.

I have always read good reports regards The Adelaida
Went with a group of 30 today and had an excellent meal.
I had Haloumi starter, Steak,chips,two veg(Fat chips,mmm) Cherry trifle.
There are lots of choices and change from €14 Euros each!!
One bottle of wine free with every two meals!!
