First visited when Phivos had the old place near to The Captain's View (1996),still as welcoming now as then.The food is mainly aimed at tourists, as far as Greek food goes, but is good value and 99% of the time well presented and cooked, varied and extensive menu to choose from, the prices won't break the bank either! The atmosphere in the evening is relaxed and friendly, even though the staff are very busy, still make you feel welcome, and valued.

Visited here again in October at lunchtime for a snack.
Very good food and service. Should add that Mario on the entrance is particularly friendly and helpful.

Pleasantly Surprised

Always avoided this place like the plague simply because of the 2 waiters standing outside trying to temp you in all the time, regardless the time of day. I always think that if a place is good enough then it doesnt need the owner to try to tempt you in, only the bad ones do that in a desperate attempted to get some custom.
However, as stated in my other post about Viva Cyprus last year, I decided to finally give it a go and wasn't disappointed at all.
Think someone ought to have a quiet word with them about goading people in.

Disappointing , We have eaten here twice lunch time and evening, if you want a quick snack its ok, if you want an evening meal keep walking, set menu was awful fresh fruit salad was out of a tin, the guys outside get on your nerves trying to temp you in and they remenber you from year to year , we now cross the road just before Phivos and them cross back when to coast is clear.

Phivos - disappointing

called in for a cheap & quick lunch, toasties only £1.95. My Mum asked if there were any toasties without Cheese, and was offered ham & tomato, which my sister also opted for, while I had cheese & onion.
all 3 toasted sandwiches came with cheese, so 2 were sent back, and we got teh impression that the owner was angry with the waiter, from the steam coming out of his ears! The cheese & onion toastie had greasy fried onions, and the chips appeared to have been refries to warm them up, posibbly because the order was sent back. Thae atmosphere apart from teh waiter was frosty, and although just a cheap lunch , was the wordt dining experience of teh holiday, and I would not go back.

Our First Restaurant

This was the first place we ate on our first visit to Cyprus in Feb 2004. Value for money and very friendly staff, always a good combination.

What a wonderful Restaurant to enjoy your favourite traditional dishes. They offer set menus, Steak, Fresh Fish, Cyprus Dishes and Mezes.
We had a lovely meal and the service was very very good, I have never seen a pair of harder working waiters, just brilliant.
Very family friendly and a huge menu which also caters for kids. Not the cheapest but not at all expensive, kids menu very reasonable.
