Great Italian Food, but slightly expensive

Very nice restaurant for a romantic or special occasion. The food & service were excellent, however in comparison to other restaurants nearby the prices were substantially higher and portions not that big. Could be an expensive evening if going with a large family/party.

Excellent Food

One has to say this is the best restaurant in Coral Bay, efficently run by owner Emilio who is watching everything that goes on in this very busy restaurant. We think that they did over 150 meals on the evening we were there. The staff are very well trained and friendly and extremely attentive.
Our starters were King Prawns and stuffed mushrooms were absolutely delicious. This was followed by Lasagne, which my wife said was the finest she had ever had, my Rack of Lamb had 8 chops on the rack and was cooked to perfection pink as ordered. We decline sweet as the meals were good proportions and we were to say the least full. The bill came to €59 and that included a bottle of hOuse white wine resonably priced at €13.50.
Now that the Euro is worth approximately 82p this was good value at £49.
We would throughly recommend this restaurant.

Fabulous Xmas Eve meal!

This was my first visit and it was very nice indeed.
Bf fancied somewhere different so we went here. We both had delicious bruschetta to start the he had steak aglio, and I had seafood risotto. Both were excellent as was the creme brulee for pudding.
Only downside was the loud noise made by tables of locals, although it was encouraging to see a restaurant that was actually busy in the current climate!
Total bill incl tip, a bottle of Ayios Onofrios and a Sprite was €70 which i think is excellent value.

After the previous reviews, we had to give it a try. Dinner was a bit of a disappointment. Starters were quite nice, all priced between €5 and €7.50.I had a steak which was just OK. A member of our group had lamb, which he said was very dry.
Local wine was €14.95 per bottle and the choice was red, white or rose. all other wines were €20 and over.
The bill including drinks was €225, not a bad meal, but not the best value either.

Italian at its best

Ate here twice during our stay both on a Saturday night. Restaurant was very busy sorecommend you book a table in advance. The service was prompt and polite and very welcoming which puts you at ease immediately. The food was served fairly quickly considering how busy the kitchen must have been. Lasagne was to die for and the Tiramissu defies words to describeit. Nice of the owner to take time to talk to all the guest in between helping the waiting staff even though his restaurant was busy. no trip to Coral Bay is complete without at least one visit to LaVigna

brilliant meal

We came here for an evening meal, for starters i had the pate, i had chicken with gorgonzola for my main and creme brulee for desert. Each course was getting better and better. we had a bottle of house rose wine which was delicious. the staff were attentive, the food was great and if it hadnt of come to 80 euros for two of us we would of come again. Only thing i didnt like was that the chairs felt too high for the tables. Restaurant is situated on a quiet corner and has plenty of seating.

This restaurant is always very accomodating and the food is always fresh, tasty and authentic in my opinion. We always enjoy our evenings here and the atmosphere is always nice and relaxed. We would definately reccomend this venue.

shame.
i was there with my husband and we had chicken diavola and a rib-eye steak .the worstest meal i ever had in cyprus.never back again.the staff is poorly running about without any reason...i was verry disappointed.

we were shown to a table with a tree overhanging it and asked to move tables( it wasn't busy!)on receiving a blank look from the waiter we moved ourselves followed by three waiting staff ( at least they were keen!)
After ordering our starters we sat back to relax for the evening, but the staff had other ideas, the starter arrived about 30 seconds before the main course, the waiter seemed suprised that we hadn't finished our starter.
By the time we had finished eating the starter, main course and dessert we had been in the restaurant we had been in the restaurant about 30 minutes, time for a quick getaway? not a bit off it, took longer to get the bill than eat the food as by this time the place must have been nearly half full!
Having finished my rant, i have to say that the food was very tasty and nice and hot but best recommended for those in a hurry.

Great restaurant

We went here with our Mums who are both over 80 & one was in a wheelchair. They couldn't do enough for us & got us a table straight away.It was not too busy when we arrived but it soon filled up & this slowed down the service a bit. The food was really good & the selection very varied. Our Mums had a great time & we will be going again in September.

Pre-booked a table tonight for 8.30pm, arrived and place very busy. Took 20 minutes to be seated, apparantly table was missing a chair. We waited 20 minutes to place order. By 10.30 the starters had not arrived. No apology from waiter just "60 people arrived at same time we are doing out best".
Once food arrived at approx 10:45 we were famished. Food was hot and tasty but 2 hours after sitting down - too long. We needed to ask for more drinks. Service was very non-existant throughout, not rude, just poor.
Place was very busy and is well decorated etc so "feel" was very comfortable. Because of the terrible service the value for money is low but the food was good.
I`d try this place again to see if poor service is a one off.

Service was top notch, we were on holiday for ten days and ate there 4 times. Food was great and all the staff really looked after the kids. Kids want to go back to Cyprus on hols just to be able to eat at La Vigna.

It is generally good Italian food. However, I was unhappy this year in that I felt that we were being pushed out to accommodate other people coming in. The place is popular, and we were there by 7pm one night. I overheard the manager telling a party of six that he would have a table available in 10 minutes – turned out it was our table, and we hadn’t even ordered desserts. We were then harrassed into ordering, by the owner with the table being cleared around us. I made my displeasure known, and then ordered more coffee!! It was their problem really as they had allowed a person dining alone to sit at a 6 person table, just 2 minutes before the party of 6 came in. I won’t go here again, as there are too many other places to try during a visit.
